Che Guevara, poet and revolutionary, as a 23yr old medical student along with his biochemist friend set on a journey across South America in the late 1940's. The film is based on Che's posthumous book which records their adventures as two upper class young men whose encounters with poverty across the region change their outlook to a deep commitment towards the poor and dispossessed.The film is also a wonderful travel adventure - a Das Kapital meets Easy rider across a continent rarely seen in this manner. The film won many awards at the Sundance Festival and Cannes.
